Ports Authority helps ten needy families

adopt a family

The Cyprus Ports Authority (CPA) donated €1,000 to ten vulnerable families as part of the “Adopt a family for Christmas” initiative, an announcement released by the organisation on Thursday said.

During a visit to the offices of the Nicosia volunteer coordinating council, the chairman of the CPA board of directors Antonis Stylianou presented food vouchers worth €1,000 euros to ten vulnerable families living in the capital for Christmas.

The campaign is running for the ninth consecutive year. Every year families are offered Christmas packages by the council with the help of individuals, families, municipalities, communities, businesses, education institutions, NGOs and others.

Stylianou expressed his congratulations for the initiative and assured of the CPA’s constant support to vulnerable groups of the population, in addition to the assistance provided by the state.
