It isn’t the weekend without live music performances. Bars in Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca are hosting music nights this weekend to entertain guests.

Starting the weekend in an uplifting mood is a night of live swing music and dancing at Sarah’s Jazz Club. On Friday, Charis Ioannou, Dimitris Miaris, Costas Challoumas and Marios Spyrou will play swinging rhythms while audience members are encouraged to put on their dancing shoes and swing along to the music. The event is suitable for beginners and experienced dancers as well.

Also happening on Friday night is an intimate live by the popular Greek singer Mando who will perform a set at Vinylio Wine Etc. The singer will present an 80s and 90s party repertoire at the Limassol bar, including her own hit songs.

Back in Nicosia and at Sarah’s Jazz Club, Saturday night will be dedicated to percussion-infused Afro Funk. A group of five local musicians will present a special repertoire blending Latin groove, afro beats and funk rhythms. On stage, Mike Michael will play the trumpet, Marios Takoushis will be on piano, Andreas Rodosthenous will play bass, George Koullas will play drums and Rodos Panagiotou will bring the beat on a variety of percussion instruments.

Saving a one-of-a-kind show for Sunday night is the upcoming gig at Savino Live. The Electric Guitarlands performance features four of the best guitarists in the world of rock music who have performed alongside the best names in the industry. The Larnaca venue will fill with guitar fans as they welcome on stage Michael Angelo Batio, Gus G, Rowan Robertson and Andy Martingelli.

The evening will include a setlist that will be packed with classics from legendary bands like Van Halen, Pantera, Black Sabbath, Dio, Megadeth and more alongside songs from the solo careers of these great artists. Batio’s iconic double-neck guitar solo will also be part of the show while the band accompanying the guitarists consists of Francesco Caporaletti on bass (The Gang – Vinnie Moore), Roberto Pirami on drums (Vinnie Moore – Michael Angelo Batio Band) and Riccardo Curzi on vocals.
