President congratulates Greek prime minister Mitsotakis on his win

President Nikos Christodoulides congratulated Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for his victory in Greek parliamentary elections.

In a post on Twitter, Director of the President’s Press Office Victoras Papadopoulos said that the president called the prime minister of Greece on Sunday evening and congratulated him on his victory and that of his party.

Over 90 per cent of Greek nationals living in Cyprus cast their vote for Greece’s parliamentary elections on Sunday.

Five polling stations were setup across Nicosia, Larnaca, Limassol and Paphos between 7am until 7pm.

Out of 1,462 registered voters, 1,340 cast their vote, amounting to 91.6 per cent.

In Nicosia, 397 out of 438 registered Greek voters cast their ballot. In Limassol, out of 255 registrants, 227 voted while in Larnaca out of 212 registered voters, 198 went to vote.

In Paphos, 80 out of 83 of those registered cast their vote.
