Nicosia police arrest man for stash of guns and drugs

Police on Thursday arrested a 22-year-old man in Nicosia for possession of guns, ammunition, and illegal drugs with intent to supply.

According to police statement, around 10.30pm yesterday officers acting on a tip off stopped the car driven by the 22-year-old for inspection.

During the vehicle search, police found a half-smoked joint, a nylon bag containing 25g of cocaine, a small amount of cannabis, and €490, all of which were seized as evidence. The suspect was arrested for a evident offences.

In a subsequent search of his home, police found two pistols, a revolver, €5,555 euros, 264g of cocaine and 25 bullets.

Nicosia police have confiscated all the items and are investigating the case.
