Remote work and the employment of third-country nationals are among the main issues on the agenda for the first meeting of the labour advisory council under Labour Minister Yiannis Panayiotou, it emerged on Sunday.

The meeting is also the first since the agreement to renew a transitional deal on the payment of the cost of living allowance (CoLa).

Other issues to be discussed include the private employment agencies, the conditions of entry and residence of third-country nationals as well as their employment, the strengthening of inspection capacities in cooperation with social partners and issued related to workers with three or more children.

The meeting will start at 10am on Monday at the labour ministry.
