President and ministers in Serbia for intergovernmental summit

President Nikos Christodoulides, accompanied by ministers is travelling to Belgrade on Wednesday for the third Cyprus-Serbia intergovernmental summit.

The president is set to have a private meeting with the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, which will be followed by an extended meeting of the delegations and a joint press conference, according to Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis.

Afterwards, Christodoulides will go to the national assembly of Serbia where he will meet with its president. In the evening, the president of Serbia will host a dinner in honour of Christodoulides and the Cypriot delegation.

The intergovernmental summit will take place on Thursday and will be attended by the ministers of foreign affairs, education, and defence.

The ministers will also hold bilateral meetings with their counterparts at the Palace of Serbia while the Christodoulides will have a meeting with the Serbian Patriarch Porfirios.
