New online Foody Riders Academy upskills its delivery team

With the safety of its delivery riders at its core and an overall belief in fostering a culture of safety among its fleet, Foody has created the Riders Academy. This disruptive training resource from Foody, which has been operational since September 26, aims to educate and keep its delivery people safe on the road.

The Foody Riders Academy operates as a personalised online training platform that aims to develop and evolve the knowledge, skills and competencies of its delivery riders through various modules. This platform is a useful resource for all Foody delivery personnel, both for their work and their personal improvement. Each delivery person in Foody’s network can be trained autonomously, attending specific programmes at the time that suits him/her.

In the near future, the platform will also offer First Aid training with a specific set of actions to be followed in case of emergencies on the road.

The platform’s diverse thematic modules have been designed for different learning styles, while incorporating a wide range of supplementary materials such as texts, images and interactive quizzes, to increase understanding and make knowledge practical.

One of the main advantages of this digital training model is that the average attendance time is about 60 per cent less compared to face-to-face training time.

The training platform has already started to log positive results among Foody’s riders, reinforcing the sense of acceptance and belonging to a strong, close-knit team, while also actively demonstrating the company’s support and care for its people.
