A 33-year-old man was arrested in Limassol on Friday evening after being found to be in possession of a kilogram and a half of cannabis.

Police attempted to pull the man over for a traffic stop, but he tried to flee, colliding with two police vehicles before eventually being apprehended.

Police found one package of cannabis weighing just shy of 1.2 kilograms in his car, before a search of his property uncovered a further package containing 390 grams of cannabis.
