The Christmas Village at Ayia Napa Marina is back and it promises to be bigger and more magical than ever. From Saturday to December 30, the marina will transform into a winter wonderland by the sea with large festive decorations and events to bring together children and adults. Throughout the month, the Christmas village will host music performances and activities that aim to put everyone in a joyous mood.
The Village will be set up at the plaza directly in front of the Marina’s Event Centre and will extend in front of the restaurants. Its opening ceremony this Saturday will launch with a lighting ceremony of its Christmas tree at 6.30pm, presented by Antri Karantoni and Kostas Karnakis. After the lighting of the tree, the popular local band OnTour will perform live.
While the Christmas Village operates, there will be a rich programme of events. Festive activities, live acts and performances will happen each day, attracting locals, tourists and visitors of all ages. Santa’s workshop will also be open for children to visit and take photos with the big red suit or exchange hugs with a big teddy bear. A carousel and a Ferris wheel will also operate while Mickey and Minnie Mouse roam the Village.
As for parents, there will be several arts and crafts activities to join as well as shows, dance acts and plays to enjoy. The events will culminate in a concert on December 22 with singer Hovig while the Christmas market and all other activities continue until December 30.
