Cyprus gripped by winter weather

Winter will continue to grip Cyprus on Sunday as more rain and snow are forecast.

The level of snow in Troodos square was 2cm in the morning and on the very top of the mountains 10cm.

Expecting heavy traffic, police announced they would step up controls in the area.

Clouds are forecast to develop in the afternoon which could bring more snow.

Low temperatures, around the average for the time of year, will remain.

Further winter weather is expected on Monday night with more rain and snow.
