An 18-year-old woman was arrested at Larnaca airport when 25kg and 612gr of cannabis were found in her luggage.

The police said the young woman arrived in Cyprus from Thailand via the UAE.

Customs officers scanned the woman’s luggage and on inspection found 43 airtight plastic bags containing the drugs.

Investigations indicated other people may be involved.

A 29-year-old man has already been arrested.
