A committee of legal and constitutional experts will be set up to examine the constitutional aspects of issues arising from the government’s suggestions for the modernisation of the Law Office.

According to the Cyprus News Agency (CNA), a decision over a committee was taken on Monday during a meeting between Justice Minister Marios Hartsiotis, attorney-general George Savvides and deputy attorney-general Savvas Angelides.

Hartsiotis said the current senior officers would not be affected by the reforms.

CNA said Law Office senior officers met with Hartsiotis and auditor-general Andreas Papaconstantinou earlier on Monday to discuss the reform of the Audit Office.
