He is one of the most famous composers of our time. His compositions are heard in the greatest music halls in the world and now, the chamber music studio The Symphonians, is bringing Ludovico Einaudi’s music to life in Limassol. A special concert is planned for November 20 as Pattichio Theatre welcomes an ensemble to perform Einaudi’s most renowned pieces.
“The creativity of the Italian musician harmoniously combines the indestructible traditions of classics, modern acoustic sound, ethnic motifs, the dynamism of modern music and meditativeness,” say organisers. “Einaudi sees himself as a guide to the world of classical music for a wide audience. Ludovico’s music for films brought him more recognition. Largely due to his life-affirming melodies, the French comedy The Intouchables has touched the hearts of millions worldwide. Einaudi calls his concerts ‘a collective meditation’”.
His compositions have won several awards including the prize for the Best Original Score and Best Soundtrack. With his album Le Onde becoming a best-selling album in the UK and Italy, the composer’s fame is well recognised and there is no doubt his music is adored by Cyprus audiences as well.
On November 20, the musicians of The Sypmhonians will present a special programme of Einaudi’s most famous compositions. They include Elements, Divenire, Petricor, Andare and Elegy for the Arctic and are all arrangements written by the orchestra to honour Einaudi’s timeless classics.
