The Paphos municipality’s beaches committee is set to install two new lifeguard towers, according to the committee’s chairman, Evkleidis Ambrosiadis.
Speaking to the Cyprus News Agency, Ambrosiadis said that the new towers will be placed on Venus beach and Alexander beach in 2025.
Addressing certain shortcomings identified on some of the municipality’s 14 beaches, he noted that the committee had purchased additional umbrellas and sunbeds towards the end of this year’s summer season. Efforts to further upgrade beaches will continue into 2025, he added.
Ambrosiadis highlighted that the Paphos municipality directly manages two beaches, SODAP beach and the Paphos municipal baths beach (‘Ta Bania’), while the remaining 12 are leased to private operators.
