The fire brigade reported two fires involving vehicles in the Larnaca district in the early hours of Friday morning.

According to fire brigade spokesman Andreas Kettis, the first fire was reported at around 2.10am, with a vehicle parked outside a residential property having been set ablaze.

The vehicle reportedly suffered “extensive damage” in the fire, which was eventually extinguished.

Then, at 2.26am, the fire brigade received another call regarding another fire parked outside a residential property in Larnaca.

The vehicle in this incident also suffered extensive damage before the fire could be put out.

Kettis added that the causes of the fire will be investigated in cooperation with the police.
