This weekend coming up is a packed one. Events for all ages are taking place in every city with Limassol taking the lead. Yet fear not, there is something fun to do in every corner of the island, even the usually quiet Paralimni.

Beginning on Friday night, dozens of musicians will take the stage of the Nicosia Municipal Theatre to perform a concert that highlights diversity, peaceful coexistence and multiculturality. In the Music Unites concert, musicians from the Empnefsta Philharmonic Association, the Symphonic Band of the Strovolos Municipality-European University Cyprus, Sistema Cyprus, the Nicosia Music School, the Police Philharmonic, the Band of the National Guard, African musicians and other who are not part of any music ensembles will perform together.

A repertoire for wind instruments, African traditional music and more will begin at 8.30pm. Organised by Nicosia 2030 and the Nicosia International Festival, the concert aims to promote the rich and multidimensional musical activity of musicians from the city and district of Nicosia.

In a more festive mood, a Multikulti Party will be on this Saturday at Stou Teli, Youssooroom Stage in old Nicosia. The Multikulti parties blend music and rhythms from cultures around the world, presenting a melting pot of party sounds. Leading party-goers into a music voyage will be Radio Pangea, blasting beats from 9pm to 2.30am.

In Paphos, a charity evening on Saturday will be held with music again leading the way. In support of Telethon, a charity performance is set to take place at Coral Beach Hotel with the well-known Cypriot singer Stavros Constantinou performing live, accompanied by his orchestra. The event will begin at 7pm and all proceeds will be donated to Telethon.

The Magic Oak Café in Polis, Paphos will host an evening of jazz, soul, Motown and rock & roll on Friday as it welcomes vocalist Joanna. The live music will kick off at 7pm and until 10pm will sway guests into the rhythmic melodies of a bygone jazz era.

This one-day festival is all about offering children a fun day out with games, activities, magic shows and performances. It will be on at Makarios III Lyceum all day, from 10am to 1pm and again from 2pm to 5pm and parents can book the time slot they want at www.ticketbox.com.cy

But there is more! Renowned pianist Yiannis Georgiou will perform a highly-anticipated recital on Friday night at Rialto Theatre, Limassol playing select pieces by Schumann, Brahms and Rachmaninoff.
