“Love is in the air, and the dice are rolling,” says Cyprus Comic Con in anticipation of its first event of the year, and one dedicated to love! Love for games, adventure, romance and fantasy. The second week of February is always heart-centred yet this event comes with plenty of twists.

The Roll for Romance 2025 event on Saturday will be a celebration of Valentine’s Day like no other. From noon to midnight, the Mall of Engomi in Nicosia will fill with thrilling quests, heart-warming moments of connection and play and plenty of fun and games.

“This year,” say organisers, “the adventure continues with more daring Valentine’s challenges designed to help participants collect hearts and win fantastic prizes. Whether you’re searching for romance or simply here for a challenge, there’s something for everyone.”

The event aims to have a corner for everyone whether they are ready to share the love or… embrace the anti-Valentine spirit. Visitors will be able to write and send a love letter to their Valentine, confess their secret crush through the Valentine mailbox and for those more daring, serenade their love with a karaoke performance. Alternatively, they can even sing an anti-Valentine anthem, everything goes at this event.

Of course, it would not be a Cyprus Comic Con happening without a cosplay contest. Attendees are invited to dress as Cupid, angels, sneaky devils, or put a romantic twist on their favourite pop culture characters and take the stage. Registrations for the competition begin at 7pm with the fun starting at 8pm. Special guest judges will select the most creative and love-infused costumes, with amazing prizes up for grabs.

And that is not all. A special K-pop dance performance will be delivered at 7pm by Cray6ix. Throughout the day, Dungeons and Dragons one-shot games will be on, booths with local artists selling their creations will offer handmade gifts and experience corners will welcome Comic Con fans and newbies.
