Cooperation between Cyprus, Greece and India in defence and security was discussed in Bangalore, India, on Wednesday.

Ministry of Defence deputy director Anna Aristotelous represented the Republic at the AeroIndia 2025 International Aviation and Defence Exhibition, taking place from February 10 to 14.

Aristotelous met with her counterpart to discuss “ways to develop and strengthen cooperation in the field of defence and security [and] strengthening of the already excellent cooperation between the two countries,” the ministry announced.

Her visit was “part of the president’s programme for the development of bilateral cooperation […] with India [and] is the first official visit to this country,” the ministry said, adding that trilateral cooperation with Greece was also discussed.

On the sidelines of the defence exhibition, Aristotelous met with representatives of defence industries and institutional bodies and attended presentations on the latest developments in aviation and defence technology.
