A lit candle in front of religious icons caused a fire in a house in Larnaca on Sunday and three people were treated for inhaling smoke and a minor burn.
The fire department was informed at 11.17am on Sunday that a fire had started in the kitchenette of a first flour house in Kiti, Larnaca.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene, however the fire had been extinguished before they got there.
The fire department inspected the scene and found the smoke had damaged laundry room walls, the corridor and two bedrooms.
The ambulance service was called to treat two people who had inhaled smoke and one person who had suffered a small burn on the leg.
