Cyprus-based Aloha Browser on Wednesday announced the launch of Snips, a groundbreaking AI-powered feature.

The new feature is designed to simplify web browsing by eliminating the chaos of excessive open tabs and constant page refreshes.

With Snips, users can create smart, live screenshots that monitor specific sections of web pages in the background, alerting them only when relevant updates occur.

Described as a revolutionary tool, Snips transforms how people interact with online content by offering an instantly updated dashboard tailored to the user’s interests.

This enables them to cut through digital clutter and avoid the need to check multiple websites and services manually.

“At Aloha, we understand the frustration of managing countless open tabs and repeatedly refreshing pages just to keep track of important information. Whether you’re monitoring stock market fluctuations, or waiting for a response to your online listings, the traditional way of browsing can feel overwhelming and inefficient,” said Andrew Frost Moroz, Founder of Aloha Browser.

“To tackle this, we’re proud to introduce Snips — a tool designed to keep users on top of the information they really need,” he continued. “For example, you might want to sign up to an online retailer in the hopes of receiving a discount on a fridge. But before long, you’re ignoring all of their email offers, as they’re filled with discounts on unrelated products like TVs or washing machines.”

Moroz also said that “with Snips, you can rest assured that you’ll be informed the second a fridge-related notification is received, making sure you get the best deal, with the least effort”.

“Snips not only make browsing more efficient, but also redefine how people interact with them — transforming them into a truly proactive and assistive experience,” he added.

Snips is now available on Aloha Browser’s desktop version for Windows and macOS, with a mobile release expected in early summer 2025.

The feature allows users to define areas of interest on any webpage, label the Snip, set how frequently it should check for changes, and issue simple commands — such as notifications when a product price drops below a specific value.

These custom Snips can be grouped into a personal dashboard, which updates in real time and provides alerts only when necessary.

Snips is powered primarily by advanced on-device AI, ensuring a high degree of privacy.

What is more, all content is processed locally, and background checks are performed discreetly without transmitting personal data.

When additional computing power is required, Snips seek user consent before securely and temporarily connecting to Aloha’s encrypted servers.

Even then, only minimal, anonymised data is used, which is deleted immediately after processing.

This approach aligns with Aloha Browser’s privacy-first ethos. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Cyprus, Aloha has consistently prioritised user data protection.

The company does not collect, store, or monetise user data, relying instead on premium service revenues.

In addition, its browser includes built-in VPN, ad blocking, biometric privacy locks, and a native media player with VR support, available on all major platforms.
