A low-pressure system continues to affect the region, bringing unsettled weather conditions across Cyprus.
On Sunday, skies will remain mostly cloudy, with localised showers and isolated thunderstorms expected, initially affecting the western half of the island and mountainous areas, gradually extending to inland and northern regions. Hail is likely in thunderstorms, while snowfall is expected over the highest peaks of Troodos.
Temperatures are expected to reach around 19°C inland as well as in southern and eastern coastal areas, about 18°C along the western and northern coasts, and around 6°C in the higher mountains.
Overnight, conditions will turn partly cloudy, with isolated showers or thunderstorms possible in coastal areas, particularly in the west. Later, and into the early morning hours, patchy mist or fog is expected to form locally, especially inland and in eastern areas.
Temperatures will drop to around 5°C inland, 9°C along the southern and eastern coasts, 11°C in the west and north, and close to zero in the higher mountains, where frost is expected to form locally.
From Monday through Wednesday, the weather will remain mostly cloudy, with intervals of localised showers and isolated thunderstorms. Hail may accompany thunderstorms, while snowfall or sleet is expected over the highest peaks of Troodos.
Temperatures are not expected to change significantly through midweek, remaining close to or slightly below seasonal averages.
