Actress and director Jodie Foster tells ‘Rolling Stone’ about the first time she met Robert De Niro, the movie that made her cry the most, and becoming a director.

She also discusses meeting Mohamedou Ould Salahi, author of the memoir on which her new film, ‘The Mauritanian’, is based. The film tells the true story of how Salahi was held for 14 years without charge in Guantanamo Bay detention camp.
