Parents of primary age children will join a demonstration outside the Presidential palace on Monday to protest the ongoing online lessons for gymnasium students, they announced on Sunday.

The Pancyprian Association of Primary School Parents Associations said they supported parents of older children who will demonstrate at 4.30 on Monday afternoon for their children to return to the classroom.

The parents are protesting a Council of Ministers decision that delayed the return of gymnasium students to school from March 16 to April 2. At the same time primary schools in Limassol were shut for classroom learning for the same period.

“We all join our voices together on Monday to react against this decision,” they said, urging all parents of primary age children to join in the protest.
