Coronavirus: Police book 173 individuals, five businesses

Five establishments and 173 individuals were booked for violating coronavirus decrees between 6am on Thursday and 6am on Friday, police said Friday.

During this time, officers carried out 12,197 checks in all districts, 3,191 in Nicosia, 2,318 in Limassol, 1,487 in Larnaca, 1,552 in Paphos, 1,299 in Famagusta and 1,355 in Morphou.

Of the 173 booked, 91 were caught in Limassol, while 15 were fined in Nicosia, 27 in Larnaca, 21 in Paphos, and six each in Famagusta and Morphou.

Two of the businesses which violated measures are located in Limassol and three are in Paphos.
