Police were on Friday investigating one of the companies contracted by the health ministry to carry out Covid screenings after they allegedly reported higher numbers of tests by declaring people twice.
The case was reported by the health ministry after noticing that the same people were declared in two different locations on the same day.
The people in question told ministry officials that they had only undergone rapid antigen testing at their workplace and not the other location reported by the company.
It is understood that the company operates a mobile testing unit.
Police were taking statements from those involved on Friday to determine whether a mistake had been made or the duplication was deliberate.
