Coronavirus: 68 cases recorded in the north on Saturday

A total of 68 cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the north on Saturday, out of a total of 7,698 tests.

According to ‘health minister’ Unal Ustel, two cases were people who had arrived from overseas, 11 were contacts of known cases and 55 caught it in the community.

Of the cases, 18 were found in Nicosia, 19 in Kyrenia, 15 in Famagusta and three in Trikomo.

These bring the total number of cases in the north to 5,013, while 27 people have died there from Covid-19.
