After a break of several months, the Lidl Food Academy is making its dynamic return with a new series of cooking classes. The innovative lessons will be unlike anything experienced in the culinary online environment so far.

Far from basic YouTube cooking videos or live demos of recipes on social media networks, Lidl Food Academy classes will offer interactive culinary learning in which all students will be able to participate, under the guidance of the educator.

All Lidl friends and customers who take the classes will be connected online, on a specific day and time, together with their Lidl Food Academy trainer-chef and be guided step by step to prepare wonderful recipes. The learning promises to be enjoyable and social, while increasing the culinary knowledge and creativity of participants, culminating in delicious dishes, prepared from the safety and comfort of learners’ homes.

Five thematic classes have already been scheduled for the coming weeks, with delicious meal items on the ‘menu’. Classes start at 11am, end at 1pm and will cover topics such as: “Spring Mediterranean”, “Mexican Fiesta”, “Easy Pizzas” and “Nostalgic Sweets”.

The first class was held out on Saturday, April 24, with the timely topic of: ‘Flauna and Kaltsounia’. Within two hours of the class, chef and participants had kneaded, baked, had fun and executed the recipes easily – a task many had once considered difficult.

Upcoming class details and registration are available via Lidl Food Academy’s website at the following link.

Participation in the classes is free, as always, while all required recipe ingredients will be delivered free to the homes of a few lucky participants, selected ahead of time via a draw.

Lidl Food Academy is a place of learning, education and socialising, where we can learn how food affects our quality of life. The online space is yet more proof of Lidl’s commitment to good food and proper nutrition.

All Academy services – from cooking classes and nutrition education, to wine-tasting and specialised food category seminars – are free to all Lidl customers. Due to the pandemic, the Lidl Food Academy has temporarily suspended its onsite activities until conditions permit.
