Dion GSP concert tickets eligible for refund

Celine Dion

Ticketholders for Celine Dion’s postponed concert are eligible for refunds, the Cyprus Consumers Association announced on Friday, seemingly ending a row over the issue.

The European leg of Celine Dion’s tour that would have included a concert at Nicosia’s GSP stadium was postponed for a second time with the new date set for June 3, 2023.

The initial date, August 2020, was rescheduled to June 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic. A new postponement was announced earlier this month with the concert being moved to June 2023.

The association said that after having contacted the company SoldOut Tickets, refunds will be made according to the “face value of the ticket”. But the association said that a company representative did not elaborate as to what that value constitutes.

Request for refunds must be made between May 14-21.

The association further stated that they will step into the fray again should the issue re-emerge, noting that over 250 complaints had been sent their way.

Contact with the association can be made at [email protected]
