Wind tulips: giving traditional turbines a visual ‘makeover’

Renewable energy solutions may be helping us transition away from a global dependence on oil, yet they come with their own challenges and drawbacks – not least, in the realm of aesthetics.

For example, while wind turbines have proven to be a viable clean energy source, very few people wish to live by the towering eyesores. Plus, they’re noisy, and pose a danger to wildlife, such as bats and birds.

Enter Flower Turbines, a Netherlands subsidiary of a US company, which is producing ‘wind tulips’ to make clean energy production a more attractive option, in every way.
