Immersive tourism: the rising appeal of VR travel

Virtual Reality’s immersive technologies are allowing those stuck at home to experience the world, in spite of the widespread travel restrictions imposed by Covid-19. But could such VR experiences ever fully replace more traditional globetrotting?
