Three arrests for possession of drugs and fireworks

Two men, aged 39 and 32, and a woman, 31, were arrested on Saturday after one kilogramme of cocaine was located in one of the men’s car and cannabis and fireworks in the home of the other two suspects.

Police located the cocaine in the car of the 39-year-old following a chase. The suspect tried to escape when officers signalled him to stop while driving on a road in Aradippou and crashed into three patrol cars.  He also attacked some of the officers to escape arrest.

Officers then searched the home of a couple, 32 and 31, in connection with the same case. In the residence, officers found around 38 grammes of cannabis, a precision scale and 19 boxes containing fireworks.

All three suspects were arrested and are being investigated for possession and supply of drugs and possession of explosives.
