Batch of frozen pork recalled

The health ministry said Wednesday inspections had uncovered a batch of a frozen pork product on the market containing salmonella.

Batch 0621 of the product, Pork Roll with Mincemeat sold at Foodsaver, has been recalled, the ministry said. The label says the meat product was frozen on 12/02/2021 and expires on 12/2/2022.

The ministry has already informed the company to proceed with an immediate withdrawal of the product batch, it said.

“However, because some of the lot in question may already be in the possession of consumers, they are urged to avoid consuming it and return it to the shops from where they bought it.”
