Yellow warning for high temperatures Saturday night and Sunday

Footballers Association concerned over playing games in heat

A new yellow weather warning has been issued for high temperatures from midnight tonight.

The warning covers the period from midnight to 4pm Sunday.

According to the met office the minimum temperature on Saturday night is expected to be around 26C with temperatures inland on Sunday set to rise to 40C.

On the south and east coasts temperatures are expected to be around 36C, around 32C on the west and north coasts and 31C in the higher mountainous areas.

On Monday, the temperature will fluctuate at the same levels which are above the seasonal average. No temperature change is expected until Wednesday, including.
