Armenian community donated €2,000 to fire affected

The Office of the Representative of the Armenian Community on Thursday donated €2,000 to financially support the people affected by the fires in mountainous area of Larnaca and Limassol earlier this month.

Expressing solidarity to the communities whose properties were destroyed in the fire, the office also appealed to the members of the Armenian Community to contribute to the financial support of those people.

It also extended condolences to the families of the four men who died in the fire.

The victims were 35-year-old Morzok Shady Morzok, Hisa Melad Farouk, 29, Ezat Salama Josef, 28 and Maged Nabil Yonan, 24.

The fire started on July 3 in Arakapas and was put under control by July 5. It burned over 55 square kilometres of land that included houses, pine forest, crops and other vegetation.
