Sunset music and wine event in Pomos

A sunset, wine and music event will take place in Pomos in Paphos in August, the regional board of tourism said.

Entrance to the event is free and includes a complimentary glass of local wine.

It will get underway on August 11 at 7.30 pm until 9.30pm at Pomos Beach near the harbour.

“Each sunset from Pomos is unique due to its position and  the sense of the sky and nature continuously change. Although the sun sets in the same place, West, every night  is a different aspect,” it said.

Well-known musicians Sotiris Karagiorgis and Antigoni Kyriakou will participate. They will perform songs from a Greek and International repertoire.

“With strong elements of romance, sunset is the magical and ethereal time of the day that painters and photographers have praised, the Paphos tourism board is aiming to again highlight and promote areas of the wider region to showcase this unique experience in a really beautiful area. Pomos and generally western Paphos is stunning,” it said.

The event is a co-operation between the tourism board and the community board of Pomos.

“We invite locals and foreign visitors as well as permanent residents to attend the event, to embrace this effort and enjoy this unique experience of the most ‘Magnificent Sunset’ in Cyprus,” it concluded.
