Coronavirus: 28 individuals fined 

Police booked 28 individuals in the last 24 hours, for breaching the Covid measures.

A police spokesperson told CNA that a total of 2,703 checks were carried out islandwide from 6am Monday until 6am Tuesday.

In Nicosia police carried out 748 checks and fined one person, in Limassol 11 were fined during 286 checks, in Larnaca, four people were fined after 505 checks and in Paphos, two people were fined after 200 checks.

In Famagusta, inspections numbered 512 and police fined eight people while in Morphou 252 checks were carried out with one person being fined.

Also, a person was fined at Larnaca airport for breaking decrees.
