Paphos police seize counterfeit consumer goods

More than 1,600 suspected counterfeit items of clothing, bags, wallets, and hats were confiscated in Paphos on Monday following a coordinated operation by the police and customs.

The operation was carried out in two stores and the products were seized after a preliminary inspection raised suspicion, they were knock offs.

The products will be examined by customs.

Members of the office for combating intellectual property theft and illegal gambling as well as the cybercrime department, in collaboration with officials of the customs department participated the operation.
