Motorcyclist killed in road collision

Nicosia general hospital

Marios Fotiou, 34, a motorcyclist from Ayios Epiphanios in the Nicosia district died in a collision on Monday evening on the Nicosia Palechori road, police said.

According to police, the accident happened around 6.15 pm when the motorcyclist collided with a car driven by a 74-year-old man.

The 34-year-old was thrown from the motorcycle and fatally injured.

He was taken by ambulance to the Nicosia general hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Nicosia traffic police are investigating the exact cause of the collision.
