The health ministry announced that two people had died from Covid-19 on Sunday and that 393 had tested positive from 64,507 PCR and rapid tests, a positivity rate of 0.61 per cent.
The deaths concerned a man aged 84 and a woman aged 66. The death toll is now 610.
There are 146 people in hospitals of whom 55 are in serious condition. Of these 18 are intubated.
The ministry said that 77.4 per cent of those in hospital are not jabbed.
Of the 64,507 tests, 11,410 were PCR and 53,097 were rapid tests yielding 393 positives as follows:
- 6 from 59 samples taken through contact tracing
- 35 from 5,471 tests done at airports
- 38 from 5,630 samples tested through private initiative.
- 2 from 122 samples process at hospital labs
- 114 from 26,653 tests at labs and pharmacies, a positivity rate of 0.4 per cent
- 197 from 26,444 tests done under the free programme for the vaccinated and other eligible groups, a positivity rate of 0.7 per cent
- 1 from 127 samples taken under doctor referrals
