Man in serious condition after head-on collision near Larnaca

A 62-year-old man, who was injured in a car accident in the Larnaca district, is being treated at the ICU of the Nicosia General Hospital.

The man was driving on the Troullon – Kelia road, in the direction of Kelia when, under conditions being investigated, he collided head-on with a car driven by a 37-year-old man, in the direction of Troullos.

According to the police statement the 62-year-old was trapped inside his vehicle and the fire service was called to the scene to free him. He was transported to Larnaca General Hospital, where he was intubated and then taken to the General Hospital of Nicosia, where he is currently being treated. Attending doctors judge his condition to be critical.
