Lakatamia now boasts a dedicated dog park for pet-owners and their four-legged friends, following the inauguration of the new facility by Environment Commissioner Klelia Vassiliou earlier this week.

The park is a well-kept fenced area of 2,500 square meters where dog owners will be able to unleash their dogs. It is situated next to the Pedieos River Linear Park and is accessible both from the pedestrian path and from Akadimias street.

In a relevant press release, Lakatamia Mayor Dr. Fotoulla Chatzipapa said that “we hope that owners and their dogs will be satisfied with what this space has to offer”.

And she added: “I am positive that those using the space will exhibit appropriate care, follow the correct instructions on how to behave within the fenced area, and along with the local authorities care for the space so it remains clean and well-kept.”

The Environment Commissioner congratulated the mayor and the municipal council for their initiative and expressed her certainty that dogs and their owners will make the most out of the park.
