After a spell of cloudy days and isolated thunderstorms, temperatures will once more rise above the seasonal average with Thursday’s high expected to reach 34C inland.
In its early morning weather forecast, the met office said that a low-pressure system continues to affect the island, with some sparse clouds and short bouts of isolated showers expected in the more mountainous areas.
The weather on Thursday is expected at 34C inland and between 30C and 23C on the coasts, while at night it is set to fall to 20C inland and along the coasts, with about 15C in the mountainous areas.
Friday will be mainly clear, with temperatures rising gradually over the weekend. Finally, the met office said that some sea turbulences is expected.
