Two men remanded for assaulting a 40-year-old

Two Nicosia residents, arrested on suspicion of assaulting a 40-year-old man earlier this month, were remanded for one day on Tuesday.

The two suspects, both men aged 30 and 28, were arrested on Monday in connection with a case of assault and causing bodily harm that took place on June 12 in the Famagusta district.

According to police, the assault took place around 3am while the 40-year-old was outside a nightclub in the Famagusta district and was attacked by a number of people, which allegedly hit him in various parts of his body.

For the same case, two men aged 36 and 32, were remanded for six days on June 16.
