A mainly fine weekend lies ahead, with the possibility of increased cloud at intervals, and scattered showers on Sunday in the mountains and inland, the met office said in its early morning weather forecast on Friday.
Friday will be mainly fine with temperatures rising to 39C inland, 36C on the north coast, 30C on the west coast, around 33C on the remaining coasts and 30C in the mountains.
Friday night will be mainly fine, with increased low cloud at intervals. Locally at dawn, light fog is forecast. Temperatures will fall to 19C inland and in the mountains and around 21C on the coast.
Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will be mainly fine, although at intervals there will be increased cloud. There may be light dust in the atmosphere on Saturday, while isolated showers are possible on Sunday in the mountains and inland.
Temperatures on Saturday will remain at the same levels as today, which are close to the seasonal average, but will edge down on Sunday before rising slightly on Monday.
