Five-day remand for man who admitted burglaries

A 20-year-old from Limassol was on Sunday remanded in custody for five days after admitting to stealing goods.

He admitted to two burglaries on Saturday in Limassol.

In the first a 65-year-old woman reported the theft from her shop of glasses worth €20.

He also burgled a nearby house, where a complainant said items to the value of €2,600 were stolen.

During police investigations evidence was given against the 20-year-old who was tracked down and admitted to both crimes.

On Sunday he was taken to Limassol district court which ordered his remand.
