Cafe employee arrested on suspicion of embezzling €41,000

A 48-year-old Limassol cafe employee has been arrested on suspicion of stealing around €41,000 from his workplace.

The suspect, a shift manager allegedly fiddled the receipts for July and August.

The discrepancies became apparent after an audit of the books. Police say the man has confessed.

He was remanded by the court for five days on Sunday.
