mπίζιος & Γερολατσίτης 15 11 22 αφίσαweb

Arriving soon on the west coast are more jazz nights organised by Technopolis 20 bringing duets and trios to the floor. On a mission to present songs from various jazz and rock eras are musicians George Bizios and Christos Yerolatsitis with their performance on November 15 at the Paphos venue.

With Bizios on electric guitar and Yerolatsitis on piano, a series of original arrangements written by Bizios for guitar and piano will unfold. The repertoire will consist of a diverse collection of pieces and songs from various periods of jazz and rock music, including compositions by Hoagy Carmichael, Monk, The Beatles and Nirvana, all adapted to the world of modern and contemporary jazz.

Towards the end of the month, the OAK Jazz Trio will hold an intimate concert at Technopolis 20. This newly formed trio is comprised of Andreas Panteli on acoustic piano, Kyriacos Kesta on upright bass and Omiros Miltiadous on drums. The group’s main focus is to converse on standard compositions from the Great American Songbook and approach original and fresh sounds. Their style and musical language are influenced by the tradition of jazz music. Nonetheless, they also keep up with contemporary elements and approaches. They are deeply influenced by great piano trios such as those of Phineas Newborn, Bill Evans, Keith Jarret, Brad Mehldau and Gerald Clayton, sounds their performance on November 28 is expected to include.
