Woman claims beaten up by flat mates

Paphos police are investigating a case of conspiracy to commit a felony, injury, actual bodily harm and threat after a woman claimed she was attacked.

According to a police statement, on Sunday at 5pm a female applicant for political asylum, residing in Polis Chrysochous, filed a complaint that her two roommates, aged 20 and 23, had attacked her while at home.

The victim said the assailants hit her on her face and body, threatened her and attacked her her with a knife.

The two other women then allegedly left the residence while the complainant was taken to the A&E department of Polis Chrysochous hospital.

The doctor on duty confirmed the woman had suffered head injuries and bruising on the forehead and elsewhere.

Police are continuing the investigating and the two alleged assailants are wanted.
