In today’s episode, President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot Leader Ersin Tatar attended a reception at the Ledra Palace Hotel, hosted by the United Nations on Wednesday.

All parties involved stressed that this is a social meeting, from which nothing is expected.

In other news, eligible students at Cyprus-based universities are to receive a €500 living allowance amidst a price hike in rents and a shortage of student accommodations. Students abroad will also be granted €200 to cover the price of their plane ticket.

Elsewhere, the Council of Ministers approved a law amendment proposal requiring that all car crashes be logged in the road transport department database.
