Two people arrested at Paralimni police station for drugs

Famagusta police on Tuesday said two men, aged 19 and 30, were arrested the previous night after drugs were found in their possession.

According to the report, the 19-year-old visited Paralimni police station around 9pm on Monday night to present himself and sign according to the instructions of Famagusta district court in relation to a different case pending against him.

Reasonable suspicions were raised against him while he was there, and a physical search conducted on him found in his possession a plastic grinder containing a quantity of 0.2703 grams of cannabis, and he was arrested on the spot.

It was later determined that he had been driven to the police station by a 30-year-old from Dherynia who was waiting for him while parked outside.

The 30-year-old was also searched and was found to be in possession of 0.5 grams of cannabis and 0.5 grams of cocaine.

He was also arrested, and both men were handed over to drug squad Ykan for further interrogation, where they admitted to the possession and use of the drugs.
